Important Update (02/14/23)
The SJECCD Board of Trustees approved a 决议 that no longer requires employees or students to be vaccinated against 新型冠状病毒肺炎.
With this change to our COVID response, we will no longer be accepting or reviewing applications for exemptions based on medical/disability need or sincerely held religious belief, as exemptions are no longer necessary.
Other COVID-related operational changes, including reporting and tracking of positive cases and daily check-in for employees, 继续有效.
Throughout the pandemic, we have relied upon guidance from federal, 状态, and local public health agencies to make informed decisions and keep our District community safe and healthy. With these agencies updating and rescinding their 状态s of emergency and various public health orders, this was an opportune time for our Board to evaluate our ongoing response to 新型冠状病毒肺炎.
In addition to prioritizing the health and safety of students and employees, we also remain firmly committed to student access and to proactively removing barriers to college access and student success.
While vaccinations are no longer required, we continue to support and encourage vaccination among employees and students. Information on how to make an appointment to receive a vaccination or booster shot in Santa Clara County is available from the Santa Clara County Public Health Department.
另外, students and employees have access to vaccines and booster shots through the 学生健康 Services center on each campus.
We will also continue to make masks and hand sanitizer available for free in District facilities and our on-campus 新型冠状病毒肺炎 testing sites will remain open through Friday, 5月26日, 2023.
These on-campus testing sites will continue to provide PCR saliva-based tests for employees and students and will distribute at-home 新型冠状病毒肺炎 test kits and personal protective equipment while supplies last.
These changes are also reflected on San Jose Evergreen Community College District 新型冠状病毒肺炎 & Vaccination Information page.
